There are about fifty restaurants on the island and most of them do honest fish without making too much of it. Two things make the difference: the limone pane, which here ends up in the salad and in the pesto instead of in the limoncello, and the position, because a table on the Corricella quayside costs you the stairway to get to it.
Where prices are not published we do not estimate them. The bands you see are the ones we were able to verify.

The Chiaiolella marina, with a view of the Santa Margherita headland. The dish to order is the pasta with cicarelle, the local wedge clams.

A terrace on the Corricella quay, with online booking through Tablein. Octopus and paccheri with swordfish; closed on Mondays, two sittings, lunch and dinner.

Da Tonino, on the sand at the Chiaia: you get there down 170 steps from Via Pizzaco, or by boat from Corricella. About 40 EUR a head, Easter to November.

La Lampara
It sits at the highest and most panoramic point of Corricella, above the Hotel La Corricella. You come for the sea urchin and for the table on the railing: that one is booked weeks ahead.

La Medusa
One of the first restaurants on the harbour, since 1954. The dish to order is the pescatora povera: anchovies, fried friggitelli and pecorino. Small portions for what it costs.

Running since 1960, a few metres from the harbour. Grilled meat and fish, a panoramic terrace over the bay: the right choice when the fish has worn you out.

Do you have to book restaurants on Procida?
Yes, on the Corricella quayside and in high season: the tables with a view are few and the dining rooms are small. Out of season you can almost always walk in without booking, but check the closing day.
How much does it cost to eat on Procida?
A pasta dish runs indicatively between 12 and 18 EUR, less than on Ischia. In the fish restaurants with a view the bill goes up: around 40 EUR a head at a couple of the addresses we cover.
