Villages and marinas of Procida
Four areas, four different trips. Pick the one that matches yours.
On an island you cross on foot in forty minutes, the area you sleep in still changes everything: how many stairways you climb a day, whether you have dinner with a view or with the road behind you, whether the bus is any use to you. Corricella has no cars and no roads: you can only reach it on foot. Terra Murata sits at the top and repays the climb. Marina Grande is the working harbour front, convenient and noisy. The Chiaiolella is the tourist marina, the only one where the road comes right under the parasol.

Chiaiolella
The tourist marina on the south-west of the island: wide beaches with beach clubs and facilities, restaurants on the seafront, direct road access and the footbridge to Vivara.
Marina Corricella
The oldest fishing village on the island, an amphitheatre of pastel houses on the water: no cars, four stairways to come down and the tables on the quay.
Marina Grande
Procida’s harbour front: ferries, Via Roma, the church of Santa Maria della Pietà, the bus terminus and two small beaches a few minutes from the quay.
Terra Murata
The island’s fortified acropolis, at about 91 metres: the abbey of San Michele, the former prison of Palazzo d’Avalos, two historic gates and the view over the Corricella.
